The Tomb Raider series means a lot to me, and while I admit it has lost its footing in recent years, I’ve always stuck by Lara. The latest Tomb Raider, however, has been completely re-imagined and – at some points – doesn’t even feel like a TR game. It’s a welcome change, though, and has me well and truly hooked.
It’s a little late to be talking about a game that was released in 2010, but I’ve just returned to Dead Rising 2 after completing Absolution and whoring it of all its Achievements, and I forgot how much I love this game. I put countless hours into Dead Rising. With its quirky save system and RPG influence, I must have restarted [...]
No, it’s not 2010. I just took an urge to return to Dead Rising 2 and am glad I did; I forgot how much fun it is to be stuck in a Las Vegas mall with 70,000+ zombies. Sure, Capcom hasn’t strayed much from the original Dead Rising, but in my fangirl eyes this is a good thing. I’m not sure who I prefer, though. Frank West or [...]
It may come as no surprise that what follows is a glistening review of the latest in the Hitman series. I’ve sung Absolution’s praises on Twitter, and even culled social arrangements in favour of spending time with Agent 47. Hitman: Absolution is a very good game. This may be a relief to those who watched the trailer, which lacked [...]
Thank you, Agent 47. Thank you, thank you, thank you. After an anti-climatic time with Assassin’s Creed III, I needed something to reignite my excitement for gaming, especially as I have time to wind down over the Christmas period. Hitman: Absolution has delivered. I’m trying to be as true a hitman as possible, utilising stealthy [...]
Och, I don’t even know what to say. I’m both surprised and disappointed. Having played, completed and enjoyed Assassin’s Creed I and II, I thought I had a good idea of what I was getting into with ACIII—that it was a safe purchase. ACIII and I have had quite a tumultuous relationship, to the point where I’ve given [...]
Over the past 2 years my passion towards gaming has dwindled, as has been evident by the lack of frequent updates on this blog. I figured it was just part of getting older—my priorities were changing and my interests were evolving. Then Mass Effect 3 came along. I think Mass Effect 3 has had the effect on me I expected Skyrim to have. To [...]
It’s hard to find time for gaming these days, especially RPGs. Particularly RPGs that boast 300 hours of gameplay. I made it clear I was concerned how much of an impact Skyrim would have on my life, but I’ve been very responsible with it, prioritising real life over the fabled hunt for dragons (also, a recent obsession with Dexter [...]
Hmm. Uhh. Yeah. Skyrim. It’s massive. The quests are never-ending. My character has a mohawk. My class is Breton. Don’t follow me on Twitter if you want to hear zilch about this game. 300 alleged hours of gameplay? I’m being quite sensible, though, and still juggling life responsibly. Just.
